Apple Maps Launches the Feature You Can Rate Places In Germany

The Apple Maps rating system, which has been used in the USA and Canada for about a year, was presented to Apple users in Germany. The update, which has a system similar to Google Maps, is expected to come to other countries in Europe.

Apple has recently rolled out a new update to Apple Maps for its users in Germany. With this new update, users will now be able to share their experiences in the places they go and the places they visit with other users on maps. In addition, the technology giant also made a more detailed street view update in the application.

Apple’s rating system is now integrated into Apple Maps so that details of places like restaurants, museums, and shopping malls can be viewed. With this update, users will be able to give positive or negative points about the places they see, and they will be able to upload their own photos to Apple Maps, just like Google Maps.

First available in the US, expected to arrive in Europe soon

The rating system in Apple Maps was first introduced last year in the US and then in Canada. Now, the update offered in Germany is expected to arrive in European countries in a short time. There was already a rating system on the application, but with the new update, users will be able to comment and add photos about the places they go. It also integrates with trip planning and rating apps such as Apple Maps, Tripadvisor, Yelp, and Foursquare.

Users who choose to contribute to this update, which is still in a trial version, must accept Apple’s terms of use for Ratings and Photos. Among the rather extensive conditions is even a list of words that Apple does not want to see. Also, Apple wants photos to be of good quality, large size, and only in JPEG, PNG, or HEIC formats.

The feature, which was made available in Germany after the USA and Canada, is expected to be used in all of Europe in the near future.
