iPhones to Say Goodbye to WhatsApp Announced

Apple’s older iPhones will soon lack WhatsApp support. Here are the iPhones whose support will end by the end of the year…

The world’s most popular messaging application, WhatsApp, is getting more features every day with its new updates. However, the update of the application also heralds the discontinuation of support for old devices.

With the new versions of WhatsApp, the size of the application is increasing. For both this and security reasons, WhatsApp has to end its support for older operating systems. Now two more operating systems have been added to this caravan.

WhatsApp support ends for iOS 10 and iOS 11

WhatsApp has ended support for many of its older models in the past months. It turned out that the company owned by Meta will end support for iOS 10 and iOS 11 this time.

Accordingly, iPhones with iOS 10 and iOS 11 operating systems will not be able to use WhatsApp as of October 24, 2022. iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S, which are already using this operating system, will no longer be able to use the popular messaging application on the specified date. However, iPhone 5S users are lucky compared to iPhone 5C users. Because the iOS 12 update is supported by the iPhone 5S, users will be able to use WhatsApp a little more thanks to this version.

When we look at the iPhone 5 series released in 2012, iOS support has long since ended. Models that cannot get the iOS 12 operating system will say goodbye to WhatsApp on October 24 due to this situation. If you want to use WhatsApp on these devices though, you will need to upgrade to a newer iPhone. Of course, this does not apply to iPhone 5S users with iOS 12.
