Shock step for Windows 11 from Microsoft! Users got burned

Microsoft will start showing Windows 11 not supported warning. Windows 11’s limited support is annoying.

Although Microsoft does not support Windows 11 , it has shared a surprise update for its users who have installed this operating system on their devices. The company brought a desktop watermark for computers that do not support the operating system in its new update to Windows 11.

How to turn off Windows 11 not supported warning?
Windows 11 installed on the unsupported computer will start showing an error message. The new desktop watermark reads, “System requirements not met. Go to Settings to learn more.” gives the expression. This is similar to the transparent watermark that appears when you don’t activate Windows , but takes up less space on the screen.

It’s possible to bypass Microsoft’s minimum hardware requirements when installing the Windows 11 operating system , but it’s disappointing to have such a watermark in both Settings and the desktop. As you know, Windows 11 hardware requirements have been criticized by users.

Windows 11 only officially supports Intel 8th Gen Coffee Lake or CPU Zen+, Zen 2 and higher. It was thought that this limited support, which eliminated millions of computers, would be expanded over time, but the expected path has not been taken since the announcement.

Microsoft has shown similar warnings for inactive versions of Windows in the past; restricted features such as themes with dark mode from being changed until the system is activated. But Microsoft doesn’t seem to have any restrictions with the new watermark.

However, with some registry changes, the desktop watermark can be disabled. To turn off the Windows 11 not supported warning , you must follow these steps:

    • Access the Registry Editor by typing ‘Regedit’ in the Windows 11 search box and pressing OK to open it.
    • On the left, open HKEY_CURRENT_USER and go to Control Panel.
    • Find the entry named UnsupportedHardwareNotificationCache .
    • Right-click this entry and select ‘Change’ from the menu.
    • Change the SV2 DWORD value from 1 to 0.
    • Save, exit, and then restart your computer.
